How to Actually Enjoy a Rainy Concert (Without Freezing) š¶š§ļø
Rain in the forecast on concert night? Donāt stressāweāve got you. With the right gear (and the right mindset), you can stay dry andĀ have the best time ever. Hereās how to show up prepared, stay comfy, and make the most of that rainy show.
1. Bring a Poncho andĀ a Rain Jacket (Umbrellas = No-Go)
Umbrellas seem smart until you remember they block peopleās views and usually arenāt allowed (Red Rocks definitely says nope). Instead, go with a hooded rain jacket and toss a poncho over it for double protectionāthat combo is a game-changer.
P.S. We sell awesome ponchos in our general store for just $5. Theyāre better than the venue ones: longer, with drawstrings, and they actually stay on.
2. Wear Waterproof Shoes (Your Feet Will Thank You)
Cold, wet feet are a guaranteed vibe killer. Leave the flip-flops at home and grab waterproof boots or sneakers with good grip. Trust usāmud and slippery hills are not the time to be cute in slides.
3. Ziplocks, Dry Bags, and Trash BagsāYes, Really
Youāll want something waterproof to protect your phone, wallet, and tickets. A ziplock or dry bag does the trick. Also: bring a big trash bag to toss over your backpack if the rain really comes down. Not glamorous, but super effective.
4. Dress Smart: Think Layers & Fast-Drying Fabrics
Avoid jeans (seriouslyātheyāll never dry). Go for quick-dry materials and layer up. Fishing or hunting gear actually works great hereāitās made for wet conditions and doesnāt hold water like cotton does.
Basically: If you can wring it out, donāt wear it.
5. Rock a Hat or Cap Under Your Hood
A baseball cap under your hood keeps rain from running down your face. Itās a small move that makes a big differenceāand keeps your hair from turning into a mop.
6. Pack Dry Clothes for the Ride Home
After dancing in the rain for hours, thereās nothing better than peeling off wet clothes and throwing on a warm hoodie and dry tee. Leave them on the bus and thank us later.
7. Roll With It (Literally and Mentally)
Some of the best shows happen in the rain. Once youāre prepared, lean into itāsing louder, dance harder, laugh at the puddles. If you're with BusPartyCo, youāre already ahead of the game: dry pre-party, good vibes, and a cozy ride back.
