How to Actually Enjoy a Rainy Concert (Without Freezing) 🎶🌧️

Rain in the forecast on concert night? Don’t stress—we’ve got you. With the right gear (and the right mindset), you can stay dry and have the best time ever. Here’s how to show up prepared, stay comfy, and make the most of that rainy show.

1. Bring a Poncho and a Rain Jacket (Umbrellas = No-Go)

Umbrellas seem smart until you remember they block people’s views and usually aren’t allowed (Red Rocks definitely says nope). Instead, go with a hooded rain jacket and toss a poncho over it for double protection—that combo is a game-changer.

P.S. We sell awesome ponchos in our general store for just $5. They’re better than the venue ones: longer, with drawstrings, and they actually stay on.

2. Wear Waterproof Shoes (Your Feet Will Thank You)

Winter Hack to Save Your Night!

Listen up, winter warriors: You need thick, wool socks for Red Rocks! Seriously, toss those flimsy cotton ones aside. After five hours outside, only wool can save those toes! Also, do yourself a favor and go for cozy boots over sneakers. Your feet will thank you later! 🧦🔥

Tips for Fall in Colorado 🍁

Fall has officially landed in Colorado this week, with nightly temperatures dropping to the 40s. As a local Denverite and Red Rocks expert, I wanted to share some tips on what to pack for a Fall concert.

What to Wear/Pack to a Fall Concert:

  • A warm, thick jacket - Faux fur is always fashionable at Red Rocks!

  • A North Face or fleece for underneath the jacket

  • Gloves and/or, at minimum, a Koozie to add a layer between the White Claw can and your hands.

It's officially Monsoon Season in Colorado, so always pack a rain jacket and/or poncho. Rain usually sweeps through the mountains for an hour or two and then passes. If an emergency evacuation happens, please go to the Red Rocks Museum (Upper North area) to seek shelter. Walking back to the bus is not advised as it can be dangerous if there is hail or a flash flood.
